I am in the beginning stages of sorting through ideas for a dissertation.
Actually, I've been there for a while. HA! I am interested in the
application of learning organization experiences to the management
practice of outsourcing function, or activities within functions. Anyone
have some thoughts on that type direction?

For an initial research question (discovery of a direction to follow) I
would ask:

In the context of a trend toward learning organization (LO) environments,
does outsource have an impact on LO success?

A thought I have also happened upon is: Outsourcing is intended to
provide various advantages to the organization. However, as a given
organization move more toward and then implements outsourcing practices,
are some of these advantages countered by such influences as workplace
stress? (That is: "Is my job to be cut?" "Am I doing my best?" "Is the
work load going to be shifted to me because the outsource contract must be
successful?")
