Dear Selim,

I recommend two books by Eliyahu Goldratt, the founder of the Theory of
Constraints:

The Goal - a novel on learning in a manufacturing setting. This novel has
been translated into many languages.

The Haystack Syndrome - Sifting information out of the data ocean. This
is a great systematic study on information, starting with the quesiton,
what information is, introducing measurements which reflect, that we are
dealing with real life systems and not theoretical modells and ending with
an outline of a suitable information system.

If you want to learn more about TOC as an approach to organisational
learning, try http://www.goldratt.com and http://www.rogo.com. (I am not
sure about the second link, but I think there is a link on the goldratt
site).

I had difficulties to get all the US-titles, which I learnt of mostly as
recommendations from this list and which I was interessted in, before I
tried amazon.com (meanwhile we have amazon.de).

Good luck!

Liebe Gruesse,

Winfried
