I'm looking for perspectives and opinions on formal education that teaches
the disciplines of the learning organization. There are many graduate
programs out there, all with various strengths and weakness. I'm compiling
a list of such programs--any thoughts in this area will be greatly
appreciated!
Specifically, does anyone have any leads for programs in organizational
development and human performance technology with strong system dynamics
components? (Even better if there are some out there with a distance
learning component.)
I've been pursuing a self-designed curriculum (translation: self-directed
study but no formal program) for some time and it's about time to get some
college credit for it. Other colleagues have also expressed interest in
such a course of study. Some of the programs I've identified are:
The Fielding Institute (distance program in Organizational Development)
Boise State University (distance program in Instructional and Performance
Technology--I actually have completed a couple of classes in this
program.) Antioch University (Whole Systems Design and Organizational
Renewal.) And, of course, just about anything System Dynamics-related at
MIT.
Thanks in advance for any ideas out there!
