Glen, I loved your add on. I guess a first step to get more control at the
card table is to quiet the noise. We would look silly with ear muffs. Ear
plugs would cut down auditory only.

Freeze-Frame(R), the one minute mental and emotional technique can
nutralize stress reactions in the moment when you most need it and at the
same time enhance brain function, outside noise or not.

The next level for us all is to manage the "inner noise", then we can
really excel, enjoying our community (what ever context we are in).

As you stated, the research is conclusive on this. The heart can directly
manage all this. The Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) can be braught into
balance sending a coherent and effecient signal up the Vagus nerve to the
Neocortex.

We are usually hired for our Neocortex and typically operate at at less
than it's potential because of our reactions to our perceptions of
stressful situations.

Forget the casino for a moment.
When was the last time any of us appreciated an airport?
When was the last time any of us appreciated the folks at the meeting?
When was the last time any of us stopped for a moment and appreciated our
freinds?

Random acts of kindness are good, and many times from the head. Sincere
appreciation from the heart is not only regenerating, it is extremely
effecient.

I think, we would all like to foster cooperation in our selves, our
own head and heart. Hey, try a meeting with balanced folks that care
and see what happens....................
.........it redefines team work and exquisite performance ensues.

Take care,

Dan
