At, I don't take issue with your main remarks here -- but one small
comment you made just doesn't feel right. You claimed:

After our recent experience in Littleton, Colorado, I don't think most of
us in the U.S. share your opinion. The "hostility of the insecure" is,
unfortunately, very much a factor among children -- and, especially, among
adolescents. Some psychologists even claim that adolescence (or earlier)
is precisely where the problems of the hostility of the insecure begin --
and that it is a pervasive (i.e., very common) occurrence.
