I am interested in your report, and agree with you that leadership, like
many other human factors, needs to be experienced rather than defined.
The question that I have had in hearing many stories of leadership
development in outdoor activities is that is that the same sort of
leadership that is involved in very different situations, where the
challenges are far more intellectual and/or organisational than physical,
when you don't see, and often don't know many of the people you are
relating to, when the impact is many years off, and the objectives very
uncertain. Can these lessons be directly transferred.
