Learning Org List readers may be interested in participating in a
conference on communities of practice organized by the Institute for
International Research at the Mayfair House in Coconut Grove, Florida
October 24-26. Etienne Wenger and Richard McDermott will speak, along
with practitioners from half a dozen companies that are using the
communities of practice idea as a foundation for their knowledge
management and organizational learning strategy. The conference is
co-sponsored by AMS, Community Intelligence Labs, @BRINT, and KMWorld. See
