Hello everyone,

My name is Liane Hirabayashi, and I'm a new subscriber to the Learning
Organization mailing list. My first experience with learning organization
concepts was in 1993 or 1994, when I began reading The Fifth Discipline
Fieldbook. Since then I have continued to read about and discussed
learning organizations with colleagues and friends. I am currently
pursuing a master's degree in Organization Design and Effectiveness with
the Fielding Institute. It's a 20-month online program with two
face-to-face meetings. It's been a great experience so far! I'm at the end
of the program, and I'm working on a literature review that looks at
organizational identity in knowledge organizations through the lens of
complexity theory.

I haven't yet narrowed down my interests within learning organization
theory and practice. I feel like I've only begun to delve into the field,
and I'm sure it will be a lifelong and very fulfilling endeavor.

I look forward to learning from all contributors to this mailing list.

Regards,
Liane
