I am a student of learning organisation and am doing a project on the
impact of personal mastery ( one of the 5 disciplines as suggested by
Peter Senge ) over the motivation level of the employees .
I need your help with regard to some literature which could help me in
progressing towards my objective.
Please help me.
Thanking you .
Naresh.
[Host's Note: I asked Naresh to expand on his question and he added the
following: ..Rick]
Hello Richard,
Well in short we can put it this way :
As far as the motivation is concerned we are studying it from the
perspective of following theories:
Stacy Adams Equity Theory, McGregor's Theory X and Y, and Maslows
Hierarchy
of Needs.
The inference is that today times are changing : Man needs some thing else
besides money after his basic needs are satisfied. That could be power. And
power derives from Personal mastery.
Is the conclusion reached right ? I am sure there r other factors
governing
the above relationship . What could be those other factors?
I hope I had been able to clarify my needs?
Please help me....!
Thankyou .
With regards .
Naresh.
