A new string theory for an expanded dialogue LO24920

Dear learners,

Thinking upon Tom Johnson's classic story of the Scania CEO, '- listening
for the music' of and amid his organisations I was reminded of this...

..Šthe art of music, or the part of it that may be understood, is that
when it begins, it is tentative, but as it continues along, it settles
down, it brightens up, it opens out; and in so doing it comes to an end.

[Confucius and his successors]

Which made me think of the recent 'dialogue' postings, and that made me
think of an abstract minimal image like...

                                 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Which made me think of 'loose couplings' and 'tight couplings' in total
systems dynamics and at precisely which point in the 'flow' the 'x'
becomes a 'diamond'?

And then I asked myself after reading four years of contributions if the
phrase, 'Plus ce change, plus ce la meme chose' (the more things change
the more they stay the same) is really just about the 'only dialogue'
really intentionally happening here and if anyone really wants 'recursion'
instead of 'recycling'.

Then I recalled someone saying last week in a light entertainment music
programme, "If you're still humming it then it ain't dead."

Then, just before I closed my eyes I realised that every time my one ear
points to the ground, the other points to the sky and I thought, good job
I have two ears.

Best 'cryptic' wishes,

Andrew Campbell
