Dear Sir/ Madam,
I am currently studying Core Management at Oxford College of Further
Education in England.
Part of the assessment requires us to answer the following question:
B Garratt (1995 An old idea that has come of age. People Management 1, 19.)
identifies a learning organisation as having the following features:
- People are helped to learn both regularly and rigorously from their
work
- Robust organisational systems and a positive organisational climate to
move the learning to where it is needed
- Learning is seen to be valued by the organisation in achieving its
objectives
- The organisation is so designed as to be able to transform itself
continuously through its learning to the benefit of its stakeholders.
Consider whether organisations adapt and evolve into learning
organisations and how far the above features are incorporated.
I would be grateful if you could send me any information that would relate
to the above question.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours faithfully
Kate Goff (Miss)
