Your note about facts and knowledge remind me of the simple model that
explains to me the relationship between passive data and actionable
knowledge.
>From all the data, we are capable of extracting information. We can

The information can then become knowledge is it is actually applied to
action. I suppose one can argue that application of information by
thinking can constitute knowledge (data-in-action).
