This is a terrific idea and would be a worthy modification of the digest
format. I'm sorry to say that I don't know how to accomplish it... I
depend on free- and share-ware for the automation of the LO list,
particularly Majordomo for list management and I do not believe it has
the capability to do what you are suggesting. Finally, there is only one
other list I know of that numbers their messages as in LO, so I doubt
this feature will be a priority for Majordomo's developer.
