Chris-
I think an interactive book club is a wonderful idea. I have been
trying to start a simple business book club at my own company with little
luck. This forum is an excellent pool of interested and, I suspect,
opinionated readers. I would love to be part of such a reading group.
By way of introduction, my name is Dee Magnoni and I am the corporate
librarian at a small high-tech company. We have been doing a lot with
organizational learning with the arrival of a new vice president of
product development last year, and I have had the privilege of conducting
all of the research, gathering the materials, and acting as the central
hub for learning theory and practice. Russell Ackoff has been a focus of
attention here, especially his *Democratic Corporation*. While this work
does not focus on learning organizations or theory, it does give LO a lot
of attention within its systems context. *Human Dynamics* has also been a
valuable addition to our collection and is a great read.
Please add my name to the list of people interested in, and willing to
help with, an interactive book club.
Thanks!
