I find your schema very interesting. If you discover any literature on
it, please let me know. I've seen microsociological or
ethnomethodological analyses of workplaces (see any of Erving Goffman's
work on institutions for an analytic framework, and also Harold Garfinkel,
ed. "Ethnomethodological Studies of Work" for some small-scale work
paradigms. I think the one you're suggesting here is fascinating.
Another book that goes into detail on social organization within a
workplace, perhaps more directly related than the others I've suggested,
is Philip Kraft, "Programmers and Managers" (Springer, 1977).
