Greetings!

My name is Hengky Laisang. I'm a student from Maranatha Christian
University, Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. Right now, I'm doing a project
about implementing LO into Statistical Laboratory. I have a lot of
questions, but maybe I'll ask you guys later ... :)

Just few hours ago, my friend asked me about 'scheduling' in his project.
I said, "I'm sorry, I don't understand YET, but I'll try to help you." And
the first place I remembered was this list!

His problem was this:

He's doing a project about bus drivers' scheduling and using "Tibrewala,
Philip and Brown's Method" (he told me like that and I said I never heard
before) and now he's finished his project. Suddenly his lecturer asked
him, "Why did you use this method? Is there no other better method? Why
don't you use Operation Research or Production System which related with
scheduling those bus drivers?" Maybe (I guessed) in other words, what's
"Tibrewala, Philip and Brown's Method" advantages from others and what
theory background which supported the answer?

My friend doesn't have to change the method, only how to answer those
questions. He was very confused and try to find another books that related
to the method, but he didn't find it! He only read and learned from if I'm
not wrong) Bedworth's book "Production Systems" and there wasn't enough
information (or knowledge?) about it. At first, he chose the method
because he thought that was the best method he knew which fit with his
problem.

So, is there someone can help me that then I can help my friend? Some
comments, websites, book's titles or else will be very useful for us ...
and thanks in advance.

Regards
