Attitude and Aptitude being relative terms one needs to base their
assessments on the expressions/behaviour manifestations. I subscribe to
Debbie's views. One has to go by the gut after seeing the person express
in several ways. I would also like to say it is the knack of asking
probing questions that bring about quality in our assessment on attitude
and aptitude. The written tests, in-basket- exercises, assessment centre
approaches, group discussions etc. are the tools to ascertain. But the
personal interview provides several effective clues to know the aptitute
and attitude.
Though this world appears very much objctive there is somuch of
subjectivity in it. We are all the objects stuffed with this
subjectivity. When I look at this subjectivity from the spiritual
dimension it appears that it would be very easy to come out of this mire
of subjectivity once I see myself away from the very subjectivity that I
have about myself. It is easier said than done. But an approach or an
effort towards that would certainly make a qualitative difference in
everything we do with the subjectivity.
