To all:

my interest in measuring the difficult to measure is

(a) the result of scientific training,
(b) a desire to use assessments that are reliable and replicable, and
(c) an interest in helping others accurately assess aptitude / attitude (especially
those who appear to have no inherent talent for this).

that's all.
