Sarah,
Two suggestions:
1. That you include "self" together with the other groups when thinking
about contracting for learning.
2. That you do some work/course in personal mastery and/or understanding
mental models (if you have not already done this. I am making an
assumption which discloses my mental model!).
If you do the second suggestion you will understand better why I include
"self" in any form of contracting, especially when it has to do with
learning. For many of us, myself very definitely included, our mental
models preclude us from learning many things. For example, for some 45
years I was told, and believed, that I was tone deaf and could not sing.
My mental model was that "I can't sing". What I should have been saying
was that "I wont sing" a different construct. In any case, my mental model
preventing me from learning. Actually, I discovered recently that I can
sing - my problem was a fear of making a noise, something instilled in me
at a very young age (children should be seen and not heard). The act of
discovering this was extremely emotional - something I'm not noted for,
but I'm learning!
I think that your area of research is a very exiting one that could lead
not only to an academic result but a deep insight into how you operate and
view the world.
