Hi Winfried, Scottx2, Don, Steve and everyone...
This thread has covered a lot of ground from JC to Oriah to Windfried's
wonderful exploration of color... I think what I see is our common
struggle to come to grips wih the fact that each of us has a different
version of reality, a different definition of soul and soul purpose. We
are so connected with each other and we rarely allow ourselves to see it
and experience it without clouding it with fear. We know where we differ
-- where we disconnect. Doesn't it come down to mutual respect and
acceptance? What color is that Winfried?
My sister was at a conference and a woman sat down beside her. She tried
to engage the woman in a conversation but the woman was nonresponsive.
She started to judge the woman as cold and then decided to appreciate her
and accept her for who she was. The very moment she had that thought of
acceptance the woman turned to her and said my sister had a really nice
haircut. A personal connection.
We underestimate the impact of our thoughts on each other and on the
world. What all the religions have in common is compassion and love. If
you think about it we screw up relationships because we are unwilling to
let go of our definition of reality in favor of acceptance and love.
Isn't an LO about letting those connections exist on a conscious and
acknowldeged level? Isn't the idea of dialogue one of people's hearts and
heads in conversation -- not just heads? Isn't it all the colors
vibrantly present and celebrated? Isn't it the basic mindset that
everyone's reality is "right"? Isn't it about the whole person equalling
body, mind, heart, and soul at work? Isn't it because we are so damn
tired of being miserable at work?
I meet a lot of people who are unhappy with their work life. Don't we
just want more than the mechanistic age of industry can offer us? Isn't
it time to mature to a different concept of organization....Isn't time for
me to stop asking all of these questions and go to sleep>>>>
