I have not read Tom Stewart's Intellectual Capital. However, I feel
uncomfortable with Grays opinion, which is "Resources bring in my mind
things to be exploited and disposed at will etc." I agree to part of the
statement Gray uses from Handy," people are the organisations". But not
sure if "not resources to serve its interests" can be universally
applicable. A very thin line separates this notion of resourse when
applied to human. I think what happens is that, when one joins an
organisation the person contributes to the organisations mandate, vision,
mission etc but tends to superordinate the individuals personal vision
etc. The person thus becomes a resource to the superordinate vision.
This would be true in organisations I have worked. This may be culture
specific, but the reason for my discomfort.
