For the benefit of list members, I use Scott's Square Wheels metaphor
tools, most recently in a recent corporate reorg engagement (previously
noted in this list). The target audience was the operating committee of a
six billion dollar firm - and a very hierarchical firm at that. They
responded just as every other group with which I'd used the tools - I've
come to call Square Wheels "an organizational Rorschach test." In a
half-day to one day session, I can get 70% of what I used to get in five
days of one-on-one interviews. Very good value for money to us and our
clients.
Disclaimer: I have no commercial relationship with Scott, but do value
him as a friend and have used his games and tools to very good effect in
our consultancy practice. Your mileage may vary but I think by little.
[Host's Note: With tongue squarely in cheek, and in alignment with Scott's
own humorous personna, I can tell you with complete assurance that Scott's
cartoon offer is easily worth more than the cost. ...Rick]
