At the moment we are organizing a seminary on developing tools to measure
social competences. These tools shall later on help us to improve the
education of our members and fellow students.
A short overview on what we are planning to do:
Apart from technical knowledge, social competencies gain in importance for
future business leaders. Which qualifications are important at the end of
university and where can they be obtained? AIESEC has been tackling these
questions for the last couple years on international seminaries and
conferences. Now we want to move a step further and develop instruments
and tools for self-evaluation.
This is why we organize WINGS, a weeklong leadership development seminary
for 60 selected AIESEC members at the end of their studies. With help of
professional trainers the delegates will split in 12 - 15 teams and, based
on their experience and knowledge, develop the tools mentioned above. At
the end of the seminar they will present these instruments to experienced
company managers who will be able to show the importance that social
competencies play in their company and how it is measured.
After the conference, participating companies will offer traineeships to
some of our delegates. There they have the opportunity to look real life
into the face. These Trainees will also be the core of a Think-tank, that
will be concerned with the improvement of the tools and their use. You can
get more information at http://www.zh.aiesec.ch and then click the WINGS
button.
We need specific input concerning:
Do you know speakers on the following topics:
Personal mastery & Teamlearning, Vision sharing, Measuring social
competences, Assessment
We deem these topics important as input for our delegates. Since we are a
non-profit organization and the seminary is taking place in Switzerland
speakers should preferably come from our "neighbourhood".
Which books, web-sites, articles, etc. can help our preparation of the
delegates?
Any feedback and input is very welcome! If you know people who allready
have worked in the field that might want to help us further please let us
also know, so that we can get into contact with them.
