Welcome Ann,

A couple thoughts follow your question below:
>One area of particular interest to me is how to make the business case for
>becoming a learning organization.

First, their competitors are probably using LO principles.
Second, the case that needs to be made is for continuous "learning." In
order for that to happen, a culture of learning must develop, which becomes
the learning organization. Continuous learning is nothing more than
utilizing each person's ability to problem solve and innovate. Of course,
for employees to feel free to do so, requires that management and the
company's leadership demonstrate this to them.
Third, look for ways they are already practicing LO principles without
knowing they are.

Share with us other suggestions you receive.

Thanks,
