There is a lot of work competing for my attention. As long as you find at
least some of the "homework" on creativity and learning done, you can be
sure that the other, in fact more obligatory work (I get paid for) does
not eat me up completely and that I still have some time left to work on
issues I love to work on. May be you have noticed, that I started to

The first time when I followed the path up the ladder was 15 years ago,
when I read Erich Jantsch's "Selforganisation of the Universe". In this
ladder was a break, that puzzled me: the path came from particles up to
humans and went on to human organisations (family, nation...). The break
was when he arrived at humans - there is a picture on this in his book, I
can look it up, if you want me to.
I couldn't resolve the puzzle until I read Ken Wilber's "Eros, Kosmos,
Logos" 2 years ago. Wilber resolves the puzzle by distinguishing
individual holons from social holons. How does this fit to your example?
Let us consider your sentence
"the leader is essential to the organisation, but the organisation is also
essential to the leader".
First, mutual being essential destroys the emergence of higher order
complexities and the hierarchy of emergents that formed the ladder, that
can be traced down by eidetic reduction.
Second, it smells good like systemic view - things are connected and thus
mutally dependent. Forget hierarchy, heterarchy is the new keyword.
Wilber calls this thinking "flatland holism". But neither your nor
Husserls thinking is "flat": Low order (low complexity) holons that
connect to create a higher order holon, to which they are essential, but
that does not let them unchanged (yes, there is a top-down feedback), is
at the heart of emergences. "Flatland" is a clear immergence, I guess
"identity-categoricity" (sureness) being impaired. So let us be very
careful in the use of the word "essential".
It depends on the developmental stage or level of emergences of the leader
as the individual holon, which kind of organisation as a corresponding
social holon may emerge. There is also a ladder of corresponding pairs:
leader-organisation (small workshop of one craftsman), leader-organisation
(national company), leader-organisation (multinational organisation),
leader-organisation (UNO).
A "plasmodial organisation" in this picture would be a social holon on the
highest emergent level available to the individuals, waiting for a
structuring emergence to happen in a process of coevolution of individual
and organisation - called organisational learning. One example would be
tribes to form a nation, or nations to form ? (not yet emerged, but there
is some kind of plasmodial organisation called "globalisation"). For such
social emergences to happen, it is necessary (I avoid "essential" here!)
that a critical mass of individuals emerge to the ability of managing
higher order complexity.
Isn't this what you are writing about, your tacit knowledge? Entropy
production rises fast on a global scale, free energy decreases (even
faster - too fast??) by burning the fossile energy ressources, the number
of people thinking highly complex also increases to some critical mass of
bifurcation: Will there be an emergence of one true global human society,
with new patterns of interaction etc, a new order of being, or will we
fail and immergence occuring - fighting nations, tribes...?
