In my own experiences, I have found that mentoring and fostering the
continuous learning of those I feel no personal affiliation toward is best
supplied by those with whom the individual responds positively.
Intermediaries are wonderful. They are especially helpful when a peer is
needed to influence an individual away from destructive behaviors.
