I agree! I think the talking stick is great in certain contexts. I am
involved with an awesome personal growth group and we use a "talking rock"
- a beautiful rock I found during a meditation retreat in the Rocky
Mountains. I think it's use is appropriate given the nature of our group.
However, it's connotations, as Bill indicated, might not be entirely
appropriate in certain contexts, such as organizational/business
environment meetings. The microphone is a fun, innovative way of adapting
the idea to a different setting. Bravo!!
