This is the example I use when training:-

Unconscious Incompetence -- Don't know you don't know (e.g. Don't know you
can't drive a car)

Conscious Incompetence -- Know you don't know (e.g. Know you can't drive a
car (and want to))

Conscious Competence -- Know you know (e.g. Take lessons, and learn how to
do it)

Unconscious Competence -- Autopilot! Do it without thinking (20 miles
along the motorway-how did I get here?)
