Replying to LO20446 --

Dear LO'ers,

Jon Krispin (LO20446) summerised a complex dialogue where several of us
have contributed to. He writes:

"I am going to try to explain some of the connections that I have been
trying to make so that others may question, comment, correct and improve
them"

This was written on 20 January, a week ago. And since then: no reaction,
big silence. Are there no questions, comments, corrections or
improvements? If so, Jon should accept our silence as a great compliment.

I myself has read and reread your contribution, which I have printed on a
paper copy. I started with writing some keywords in the sidelines with the
intention to summarise and add possible new thoughts. But then I realised
that your message was already a summary. And summarising a summary could
be interpreted as an insult; but it is also not very meaningfull indeed.

However, your message triggered with me two directions which are worth for
further dialogue. I will copy a part of a paragraph which you have
included, but which are words of At de Lange (LO20330):

> > Our task is to
> >"guide" human systems to focus on a particular course through
> >self-learning. I have used quotation marks to stress that the word
> >guide does not give precisely the meaning which I want to articulate.
> >When I think of "guide", it excludes regulation, enforcement, ruling
> >controlling, authority, dominion or similar things. In other words,
> >when I think of "guide" it excludes pushings and includes pullings.

For clarity, I will make a separate contribution of it: "guided tour and
prerequisites for learning".

Jon, I hope that the lines that you sketched towards the behavioural
sciences will continue. Thank you for the well constructed guided tour you
have presented us.
