Perhaps a number of these students are simply doing their homework from
one of their lessons in internetusage: "How to find information on the
internet by subscribing to a DiscussionList".
And one of the exercises is to subscribe to such a list, ask for
information and see what happens..........?
Perhaps a bit naive contribution but it wouldn't surprise me!
