Replying to LO21236 --

Yea, that's right. And if "rightsizing" has such negative unintended
consequences, why do businesses persist in it? And if short-term
(next-quarter) thinking wreaks such damage on our economy, why do so many
companies use it? And if dictatorial, top-down, authority-based
management is so bad, why do so many managers continue to use it?

Need I go on?

To my mind, citing "typical business practices" as justification that a
concept is correct or a method really works is not convincing!
