Not posted for some time but still been watching!
An interesting and I think relevant set of ideas and a dynamic, total
systems approach to value creation can be found at

This includes some interesting graphics of the value creation process and
downloadable pdf papers on Karl Linn's General Theory of Marketing.
Worth a look IMHO as it is a different approach to understanding what
marketing and branding is really about.
FWIW I have also found recently the first article using system dynamics
approaches to Brand Management. It is called "The end of Voodoo Brand
Management" and is on the McKinsey website.
