Listen,

Complexity rules the universe. The physical universe seems to me a Major
Major (!) achievement in complexity. But even more so our human universe.
What if the physical world is consistenly ruled by laws and principles but
our human domain is structured in a way that contains inconsistent rules
and principles? At first we would impose our rules (no 2 to infinity) on
our system, our society and live happily ever after. But we must die (Rule
1). Perhaps a social system, the # w-w-web Wild Wild Web # included, is
ruled by mutually exclusive rules because we try the impossible: living
without fearing. As a private, I cannot live with fear, I cannot live
without it.

I never could resist somebody who's quoting Vonnegut.
