Greetings Org Learners,

Hi, an interesting article about --How the wedding of Brain and Computers
could change the Universe was published at NYTIMES!

The article is dealing the book, -The Age of Spiritual Machines: When
computers exceed the Human Intelligence! written by Ray Kurzweil..

Regarding Kurzweil's book--
John Searle, the renowned University of California, at Berkeley Professor
of Philosophy wrote in The New York Review of Books that the fatal flaw in
"Kurzweil entire argument" is that "it rests on the assumption that the
every thing humans do in their lives to Compute". He further said, "he
made massive philosophical errors".

Here, I would like to point out Regarding the Brain as Biological Model, I
read in IEEE Computer (October, 1996, Daniel S. Goldin and Samuel L.
Venneri, Ahmed K. Noor) --"...The brain is a million times faster than the
fastest neural network we could dream up. A single brain cell can carry 10
times the information of today's most powerful computer --and it's more
energy efficient..."
