An update... At is back home and in good spirits. Andrew and I have
received messages from him...

I'll take the liberty of reproducing here a short excerpt from At's msg to
Andrew:

>I will be out of action for about a month. I was warned not to travel
>further than two kilometers the next two weeks, but I simply had to make
>this 12 km to the university to answer Leo and Andrew. I worked quickly
>through the LO digests and was so very much pleased with all your well
>wishes, Rick's message and the beautiful flowers. When I received the the
>flowers, there was short note saying something like "Best wishes for your
>well becoming". I knew immediately that the "becoming" meant that someone
>form the LO-list sent the flowers -- but who? Thank you Andrew, the
>bouquet of flowers (all from South African origin) was gorgeous and
>brought tears to my eyes.

>From this, I presume that At's email is at the university and that we are
not likely to hear much from him until he is more fully recovered.

   -=- Rick

>Our dear friend, At de Lange has just had a major surgery and will
>remain in the hospital for several days. Andrew has been in touch
>with his wife, Alicia, and reports as follows...
>
>"I have just come back from Wallingford having sent At and Alicia a
>bouquet of multicoloured ;-) flowers signed from all at the
>Learning-org along the lines. 'Good luck with your wellbecoming'."
