I'm a newcomer to the listserv and to the Learning Organization movement
in general. My interest in Learning Organizations came through my interest
in the Learning Histories done by Kleiner, Roth, and others, which I am
teaching in my business writing classes.
I am a former engineer, retired military, just beginning a second career
in academia. My courses are built around the concept of "writing the
learning organization," and I am using Senge's The Fifth Discipline,
Kleiner and Roth's Oil Change along with more traditional writing
textbooks. I am also using The Fifth Discipline Fieldbook as a teaching
resource. Two sections of my classes are a mixture of Accounting and
Management majors. The third section is much more of a melange of
students--criminal justice, communications, English, general business,
sociology, nursing, etc.
Does anyone on the list have any suggestions for resources, or know of any
similar work being done.
I really do appreciate any suggestions I receive!
