I don 't have data on ISO 9000 success. But I have seen many ISO companies
some great and some terrible. ISO was not 'the' difference. The difference
it is in the expectations of management.
Those that expect ISO,of and in itself, to make a difference are in the
same class with those that behave as if only I can write a big enough
book, enough instructions and a cover enough rules everything will be
better.
If big rule books made things better then the US government would be
efficient with prosper focus, all Catholics and Jews would be saints. The
big books of rules and procedures have purpose but they do not make the
difference. It is the heart and mind of the leadership. Not the procedure
book.
