Hello there-

We are a city police service that is striving to become a learning
organization. We have been working on implementation of this since 1995.

At this point in the process, we are attempting (among numerous other
things) to develop an across-the-board educational policy that is
consistent with organizational learning principles, something which
specifies what formal education the organization will pay for, and how
much sabbatical time is allowed. We'd rather no reinvent the wheel on the
issue, and so my question to the membership is: 'What has your learning
organization done in terms of a formal education policy that is fair to
all workers?'
