That sounds reminiscent of the University of St. Gallen's (St. Gallen,
Switzerland) integrated management model, which (my translation) has
organization & structure, activities, and processes. (Incidentally, they
create a matrix with normative, strategic and operative characteristics on
the other axis, and they claim management at all levels should concern
themselves with each cell in this matrix.)
For more information on this, see, for example, books (in German, although
there may be English translations) by Knut Bleicher or Cuno Puempin and
Juergen Prange (Management der Unternehmungsentwicklung, I believe is the
title).
