Jane, the best text in this area that I have come across is "Understanding
Offices" by Joanna Eley and Alexi F. Marmot, published in 1995 in
paperback by Penguin. It is written by an architect and an organizational
phychologist.
PS. My undergraduate BCom Commerce degree was from Birmingham, and I
happen to know there is a copy of the above text in the University Library
as I donated it!
