No, Stephen, I can't think of specific resource material as you've asked.
I think the purpose for your training is important, and it's one that I've
been involved with several times. Your example, though, doesn't track
well with me. Hiring is not always the best way to go, and loyalty
development is not relevant to resourcing decisions (because it doesn't
fit in the transactional environments where these people are working).

The key is for managers to report their accountability and management
successes (and failures) to their boss, and for their boss to coach them
for improvement and development. I hope their boss will be involved in
these trainings--and good luck!
