I just had a thought that struck just as I hit the "send" button on my
browser to send that last message, maybe it could be included in the
message.

This mental model of ours, this "human Resources" model, does that help
generate the perception that we (and they) treat people as things? Does
our mental model therefore generate unnecessary conflict? Does it help
generate our treating people like things?
