Hi,
I've been highly impressed with the level of discussion this thread has
generated. While reading the many astute and sometimes profound comments
that have been contributed, I can't help but filter them through my own
experience of having worked for three Asian-owned companies -- two
automotive and one high-tech. In these situations, the discrepancy
between differing views of humans as resources is much more profound than
those I've read here.
Perhaps someone who has studied cultural differences with respect to the
question of humans as resources might care to comment on this issue, which
becomes even more critical as organizations globalize.
