This is one learning direction: I notice that I don't care for you, so
what can I learn from this? (I am the learner)

There is also a second direction additionally: You notice that I don't
care for you, so what can you learn from this? (I am the teacher)

So I suggest to be honest also in "not caring", although it is socially
not so accepted. Caring too much about "not caring", because of the mental
modell that one should care is a systemic possibility to block oneself.

I think it is one of the most difficult aspects of leadership to balance
learning and teaching.
