Following up on Ian Saunders' proverb,
"He who knows and knows that he knows is a wise man ... follow him"
A common use of this 2x2 model is to point to the recently trained as good
sources--SMEs for the trainer and peer tutors for the untrained.
The other part of the proverb is a bit harsh:
"He who knows and knows not that he knows is asleep....wake him"
This is the past master we're talking about. The one who's forgotten more
than most of us will ever know about the subject. It's tougher getting
the past master to articulate things than it is with the recently trained,
but it may be well worth the effort.
Cheers
