Dear John, Glen, and others,

I for one found all of your contributions and the whole dialogue very
helpful and equally creative. From an outside perspective, who has not
studied these topics as much as you seem to have, I can see the value of
both perspectives and appreciate the diversity of viewpoints on this
string, and - even if sometimes somewhat lengthy -, appreciate the
encyclopedial knowledge that is distributed on this string, informing be
about diabetic processes, copper nails in Hanseatic boats, navigational
systems in ants, (which is of special interest to me, since our beach hut
is being presently invaded by them), etc. Seriously, I do appreciate the
work and seriousness the various members take upon themselves to make and
sustain their points of view. I for one learned from it, that if I will be
using analogies in the future, it pays to point out, why they are being
used, how they are relevant to the social reality in the moment, and how
they are falsifying or mystifying the event that is happening in the
moment.

greetings
Max
