You bet that is why companies that use SPC properly are among the oldest
learning organizations. SPC helps find and uncover facts about the way we
work . Because of that it is a great contribution to learning about work.

The bosses attitude about errors. If the boss believes the person is the
problem he or she will drive people to cover up errors. Errors can only be
used to learn i f the culture exposes errors.

Great management exposes problems and Poor management allows them to hide.

Habits also cause us to be blind to poor processes. It has always been
that way.

Bosses who do not listen drive problems away and into the dark. When the
boss does not listen the workers soon believe problems are ok and should
simply be tolerated.

SPC combined with the authority to take action at the source expose
problems errors and defects and can improve attitude and processes
dramatically.

If a company values anything more than its' customer, it will lose the
customer.
The irony of that, if it is profitability, market share, security, teams,
learning or philanthropy that it values more it will lose the opportunity
for these too.
