Replying to LO21594 --

First, I think a corporate Web site needs to be designed for outcomes.
What are the outcomes you want from that site? There is no singular
correct use for such a site. Some firms use their sites to update
investors, others to recruit talent, others to sell products. For some
organizations, their Web site is their ENTIRE business.

Second, I don't doubt that few people cared enough to reply to your M/V/V
statements. It was another document written by the same powerful group of
people that is passed around for people to discuss. Why don't you,
instead, get that team walking around to groups within your organization
and ASK them what kind of organization they want your organization to
become in five years? Ask them about the kind of culture the organization
should have. Ask them how they see the organization being structured in
the future. How will decision-making be made? How will strategy be set?
What kind of skills would they envisioning people having?

People get energized over a vision when it is theirs -- not when it is yet
another memo written by a CEO and a hand-picked team.
