In LO21736, Andrew asks -

"What are the five most important questions a manager should constantly be
asking his or her staff to help build a learning organization?"

Below is a question you may find helpful when discussing business
performance with others (whether it is about a perfomance issue or a
performance success) --

"If other's were placed in the exact same circumstances, what's the
likelihood some/many/most would have done the same thing ?"

There are many different ways one can frame this question. It has been
very useful way of generating an intuitive systems perspective of the
performance discussion, especially when others involved are not familiar
with the field of systems thinking.

An informal team of four at our company are developing an introduction on
sytems thinking and are using this question and a past performance issue
as the core of the training. We'll see how it goes.
