Replying to LO23342 --

Winfried,

You wrote,

"What if, what Cliff describes and proves, is true: that the secret of
being alive is meaning itself? What if, it is true that all meaning is
contained in the systems itself, or derived and adopted from other
systems?"

I throw another tale into the pan for you to cook to taste:

A man was singing the praises of God. "Allah, Allah" fell from his lips
like a sweet wine.

Then a cynic said, "So, you've been praying to God all this time. But have
you ever heard an answer?"

The man fell silent. And deeply troubled, he entered a profound sleep in
which he dreamed. I his dream, Khidr, the Guide of Souls, spoke to him
from behind a green bush:

"But why have you stopped praising God?"

"Because he has never answered me," said the man.

And Khidr replied, "But your yearning IS the answer."

Best regards,
Barry
